I went to college a long time ago, but I remember everything I learned from my physics and mathematics degrees. I use math on a daily basis professionally, but I also tutor students in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and other math subjects. I began tutoring as a college student, and I’ve continued to do so throughout my career. I work with school students, college students, high school students, and middle school students. While I mostly tutor students in math, I’ve also helps students prepare for the GED and ACT, and I would be happy to share test taking skills and other techniques for these exams with students. I utilize patience, and I use different explanations and means of presenting information to help students understand it. In my free time, I enjoy gymnastics and decorating cakes.

I went to the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota to earn my bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. While in college, I discovered my love of teaching. I was able to be a teaching assistant in chemistry and biology lab courses, and I also tutored biochemistry and organic chemistry. I love these subjects, and I found out how enjoyable it is to share my knowledge of these subjects with students and to help them learn. When we learn something new, we come to enjoy the subject better, feel accomplished, and become excited about our abilities. I explained this to students to help them feel motivated to achieve success. I’m now attending medical school, and looking forward to tutoring students in biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, cell biology, critical analysis and reasoning skills, MCAT preparation, and more. In my free time, I like to cook, do yoga, and spend time with friends and family.

I’m a native French-speaker born in Gabon, though I currently live in Omaha, Nebraska. I am currently enrolled in the American Public University System to achieve my bachelor’s in international relations concentrating on African studies. I discovered an interest in American studies and intend to study for my masters after completing this degree. I’ve been tutoring students in languages since I was in high school. My main focuses are English and French, both course-related and conversational. I am fluent in German and Spanish as well. I enjoy working with students on their language skills. My tutoring style is immersive and personalized. When I first meet a student, I analyze their ability level, learning style, personality, and language goals to develop a lesson plan that puts them on the right course. I can help students taking AP classes in Spanish language and culture, as well as French, English, and German. I believe that anyone can learn languages if they have the right support to do so. Through encouragement, creativity, and patience, I work with each student to help them thoroughly understand the language they are learning. Outside of tutoring students, I am a big fan of the Huskers. I enjoy learning and studying languages, writing, reading, and playing soccer.
