I have a passion for learning, and that’s not just something I say. I have earned four college degrees. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English and communication, my MAT in teaching English as a second language, a Master of Education for reading teacher education, and an EdS in educational administration and instructional supervision, all from the University of Louisville. I’ve been teaching English in to high school students for more than two decades. I have tutored elementary school through students for as long, and in a huge variety of specific courses, mostly related to English and language arts and business topics. I also help students prepare for standardized tests like the ACT, GRE, PCAT, and many others.

Teaching is the ability to reach students wherever they stand and to help them make progress. I like teaching in ways that are understandable to the individual needs of each student. I hope to prepare students for their future and inspire them to contribute to their career of choice with passion. I honor my students as people who have a lot to offer. I help my students set goals and understand how to reach them. I have a bachelor’s degree in biological and biosystems engineering and a master’s degree in engineering mechanics. I like woodworking, golfing, and participating in church activities in my free time. I also enjoy swimming three times a week.

I earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary school teaching from St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana. From there, I went on to earn a master’s degree in elementary education from Bellarmine University in Kentucky. My time at both schools prepared me well for what was ahead. I began teaching shortly after graduation and continued teaching elementary school children for eighteen years. Over the eighteen years as a teacher, I learned valuable teaching strategies for math and reading. My goal is to boost the confidence of my students. When I am not tutoring, I like watching movies, playing games, and reading. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
